Hinton Rowan Helper House, the residence of Hinton Rowan Helper from 1829-49 also known as Evans Place is a house in Mocksville, Davie County, North Carolina. It is a 1 1/2-story log house sheathed in clapboard siding. It has modern rear additions. It was the home of noted author Hinton Rowan Helper, who wrote the ''Land of Gold'' (1855) and ''The Impending Crisis of the South'' (1857).
